I ordered these things because I want to employ me in the near future with cakes and decorations of cakes. In addition, you can always use the utensils. A cupcake stand, one cutter, wrapper for decoration and punches with snow flake motive.

I ordered it by Deagostini-Torten dekorieren.

Christmas-Cake

I wish you all a nice second Christmas Eve.

For Christmas I baked a christmas-cake - my first attempt to bake such a cake. It worked , though not perfect, but it worked. My family has very tasty and me too, although I do not like so such cakes. But I must say, you need time for it and therefore patience ;) It was worth it. The taste of chocolate and fruity jam and delicious cinnamon cream was delicious.

The price for the ingredients:ca. 8€ and the time for preparation and so on: ca. 2 hours

Ingredients:

For the cake base:

6 eggs
4 tbsp. of warm water
200g sugar
225g ground nuts
2tsp. of backing powder
100 of grated chocolate
110g flour

For the filling:

250g apricot jam
1 package of custard powder (vanilla)
450ml milk
2 tbsp. of sugar
250g butter
1 tbsp. of cinnamon

For the decoration:

1 marzipan cover or chocolate glazing

1.

For the cake base you have beat eggs, sugar and hot water until frothy. Fold in nuts, flour, baking powder and chocolate chips. Put the dough into a springform pan (24-26) and bake in preheated oven at 190 ° C (about 35 minutes). Leave to cool the cake and cut twice.

2.

For the filling cook a pudding with milk, custard powder and sugar. The pudding have to cool ,but you have to stir it often. Cream butter and cinnamon until fluffy and stir in the cooled custard slowly.

3.

Warm the jam slightly and spread on the lower base, then place the second. Then comes the half of the cream on it. Put the third cake-piece on it. Then the rest of the cream.

The cake must be at least one hour in the refrigerator.

Then decorate the cake with icing or marzipan cover.

Do you also ate cakes at christmas? Wich ones?

Baked Apple

Hey everybody!

Yesterday I made a pre-Christmas meal for my family. There were chicken legs with potatoes and red cabbage. As dessert we had a delicious baked apple and this I want to show you today.
This recipe is very easy to make and tastes delicious. A warm apple with delicious marzipan filling (I love marzipan ). In the marzipan are delicious chopped almonds. With a custard and actually even a scoop of vanilla ice – but we had none at home :(

For this recipe you need circa 35minutes. It costs about 5€.

 Ingredients (4 apples):

100g marzipan
3tbsp. of chopped almonds
4 apples (e.g. Boskoop)
4tbsp.of lemon juice
130ml apple juice
1 package of custard powder
2tbsp. of sugar
250ml milk

if you want: raisins (but I don't like them much)

1.

Cut the into four pieces and mix with the almonds. Then shape into small rolls. Cut out the cores of the apples and put the marzipan roles into. Place the apples in a baking dish and sprinkle with lemon- and apple juice. Then the apples have to roast in the oven (200° for 25 minutes).

2.

Then mix the sauce powder with sugar and three tablespoons of milk. Boil the remaining milk and add the sauce powder to the milk and boil while stirring. Put the sauce over the baked apples and ready is the delicious dessert.

What is your typical Christmas dessert?

Christmas-Cupcakes

Hello bakingfriends!

Christmas is almost here, so I want to show you today christmas-cupcakes. I've decorated with little Santas and snowflakes. They also taste delicious , because the cream is already in the cupcake.
Unfortunately I did not have enough cream, next time I should do something more or make not so big holes.
But otherwise they taste like white chocolate with fluffy dough.

You need about 20 minutes for the preparation and 25 minutes for baking. The ingredients cost circa 5,50. (Depending on what you have at home)

Ingredients (for 6 cupcakes):

For the cupcakes:

2 eggs
80g sugar
80g butter
80g flour
1 small package of baking powder
½ vanilla pod

For the cream:

200g white chocolate
6tbsp. of whipping cream
sugar pearls

1.

First you need to preheat oven to 180 ° C, then place the paper cases in the muffin tin. Next, whisk the eggs and sugar up. You get a white, creamy mass.

2.

Bring the butter to melt. Mix the flour with the baking powder and give both gradually to the cream. You have to open the vanilla pod, and scrape out the pulp and add to the dough. Then you have to mix everything well and spread the dough on the paper cases. The dough have to bake for 20 minutes.

3.

The cupcakes have to cool down on a rack. If they are not so hot, you have to undermine a little bit with a knife.

4.

For the cream you need to cut the white chocolate into small pieces and melt in the microwave and mix it well. Whip the cream. Give the melted chocolate to the cream and whip it.

5.

Pour the cream with a pastry bag into the cupcakes and extend the upward spiral. Then comes the fun part : decorating :)

Spitzbuben

I wish you all a nice third Advent.

Christmas time is family time, so I diligently baked with my mom and my sister this weekend cookies. A variety of these were the “Spitzbuben“ which are super tasty, but unfortunately a little bit complicated. They taste of hazelnut and are delicious with currant jelly.

For these cookies (20 pieces) you need about 20 minutes. You have to let the dough rest for 30 minutes. All in all you need 50 minutes. The price for this recipe is about 4,50€.

Most of my recipes I do with this maker. It is a little older-about 8 years, but it makes it much easier. It is from Aldi and has cost at that time about 90 €.

Ingredients:

420g flour
210g sugar
250g butter
125g hazelnuts (grated)
1 glass of currant jelly

if you want: powdered sugar

1.

The first thing you gonna do, is to sift the flour. Next you have to mix the flour with sugar, butter and hazelnuts. After that you put the dough into the fridge. The dough has to rest for 30 minutes.

2.

The next step is, you have to roll out dough (1-2 cm thick) and cut out small round cookies. I do it with this rotary cutter (4-5€, sometimes at Lidl).

3.

Then you put the cookies into the oven, for 15 minutes (170°-preheated). Mop the ground with currant jelly and put the cookie with the star on it.
Last step: dust with the powdered sugar.

Do you like cookies with hazelnuts or currant jelly?

Cinnamonroll-Cake

Hey guys,

today I want to show you a cake which I baked for the first time. He is with cinnamon rolls, and I love these „Ohrfeigen“ with cinnamon. But to be honest, I thought it will be more delicious. It is less sweet, but I like it. But what bothers me is that I can taste the cinnamon, not as good as the „Ohrfeigen“ - the next time I put more cinnamon onto.

All in all it is an delicious cake and in my opinion it is easy to bake.

You need about 15 minutes for the preparation and one hour to let the dough rise. The recipe costs circa 4,50€.

Ingredients:

For the dough

1 yeast
120ml water (lukewarn)
120ml milk (lukewarm)
60g margarine
60g sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. of salt
480g flour

For the filling

2 tsp. of cinnamon
40g sugar
as needed butter (melted)

For the icing

120g icing sugar
1 small package of vanilla sugar
1 tbsp. of milk

1.

First you do the dough. You mix all the ingredients for the dough (it should be easy to take it out). Next you let the dough prove.

2.

The next step is doing the filling. After you've let the dough prove, you roll it out (ca. 76x46 cm). Then you have to grease the dough and drege it with the sugar and the cinnamon.

After that you furl the dough on the longer side and cut the roll into 4cm pieces. These you put into a springform pan and put it in the oven for 25-30 minutes (175°C).

3.

The last step is, you have to put the icing (icing sugar with vanilla sugar and milk) onto the hot cake.

Do you have another recipes with cinnamon which you prefer?

Stutenkerle or Weckmänner

Hi bakingfriends!

Right for St. Nikolaus I thought to myself, I do Stutenkerle. These are easy because they ware with curd and not with yeast.
I did it for my family and they were really excited , they have said that they are really tasty. They are soft and easy taste of lemon.

For the preparation, it takes approximately 20 minutes and 15 minutes for baking. The ingredients cost about 2.80 € (depending on what you have at home).

Since I am not an artist, they look not so good – sorry for that ;)!

Ingredients (4 Pieces):

330g curd
13 tbsp. of milk
13 tbsp. of oil
8 tbsp. of sugar
2,5 small packages of vanilla-sugar
a pinch of salt
a little bit of lemon-flavour
633g flour
2 small packages of baking powder
some raisins for decorating
milk for spreading

1.

Mix the cud with milk, oil, sugar, vanilla-sugar, salt and lemon-flavour. After that  you mix the flour with the baking powder and stir it in. Then you knead the dough - it shouldn't stick no longer.

2.

Next you quarter them and turn it into roles (25cm). You mould them into ovals and shape the hands and legs. Then you shape the face and the body with the raisins. Put them on a baking plate ( 1 for 2) and dab them with milk.

3.

Put the "Stutenkerle" into the oven for 15 minutes (200°C). After that let them dry for 10 minutes.
Finished!

Do you like Stutenkerle or what do you bake for St. Nikolaus?
